Mirror Mirror

Open concept living is something that most people look for in a home these days. Unfortunately, older homes were not built this way, making sectioned off rooms feel even choppier than they actually are.

Knocking out walls is not always the easiest nor fastest way to accomplish a sense of openness, so a great alternative is as simple as what is placed on those dividing walls.

For starters, paint. Trending now: light neutrals such as gray or tan. It is a small change with a big impact. Secondly, hang mirrors - large mirrors. There are so many beautiful mirrors out there with many different style types that can appeal to just about anybody. Lastly, natural light. Keep windows uncovered and if necessary, use curtains that are sheer or soft in color.
