Stage Your Home Free

The likelihood of your home selling quickly depends on many, many factors. One of the factors that gets pushed to the side is staging. Staging will have a major effect on the potential buyers' first impression and also their lasting impression and staging can be completely free.
Find places like closets, the garage, under the bed, maybe an extra bedroom and use these places to hide clutter or anything you still will want to use while your house is for sale. The counters in the kitchen should only contain small appliances that will still be used on a daily basis (i.e. coffee maker). Keep the sink empty, always!
The dining room table should be clean and only contain a centerpiece unless you wish to always have it set at all times.Remove any personal pictures throughout the home. If holes are displayed in the wall, replace the personal photos with non-personal wall art (as shown in the picture). Staging provides vision. Personal "stuff" deters it. Think simplicity. A buyer wants to see the home and if there is too much going on, it takes away from the home.
Bathrooms are very important because they are not the loveliest room to be in. So, a clean bathroom is vital. Clear the counters of soaps, lotions, perfumes, toothbrushes (yuck) and just have one bottle of soap for washing hands. Same with in the shower (yes people look there). Have the bare minimum in there and take the time to scrub away at...well, areas that need scrubbing.
Lastly, window coverings should stay. Just be sure they are nicely pulled to each side so that natural light is still coming through the windows. Nothing in life is free, but staging can be!Paying a stager is another option. Contact me for any staging needs.
